Fotona’s laser skin tightening treatment is a non-invasive procedure that uses the laser to tighten skin by stimulating the growth of new collagen and tightening the elastin which causes the skin to contract. Fotona targets and heats the collagen in the upper dermis while protecting the epidermis with controlled cooling. Laser skin tightening is appropriate for men and women of all skin types who wish to achieve smoother, and more youthful looking skin.
Fotona’s laser is ideal for skin tightening. It safely and effectively penetrates the skin for gentle tightening of fine lines and wrinkles, helping to improve overall skin texture and laxity. Laser skin tightening is more effective than chemical peels and microdermabrasion and less invasive than surgery, with no discomfort or downtime involved with the procedure.
Each person is different but during the treatment, you will feel a warm sensation, like a hot stone massage or lying in the warm sun. Immediately following treatment, you may experience some mild redness that will diminish after a couple of hours. Patients can resume their daily activities immediately following the treatment. It is best to avoid direct sun for a few days following treatment and to apply sun screen. Results can be seen after the first treatment but for best results 3-4 treatments are required, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart.
