Fine lines, wrinkles, laxity, jowls, fat reduction, pore size, collagen stimulation and restoration
The Morpheus8 is designed to deliver bipolar radiofrequency (RF) energy to the subdermal tissue in a fractional manner. Energy is delivered to the skin and subdermal tissue through arrays of coated needles and results in localized heating and coagulation of the tissue in direct contact with the needles. Coagulation of the skin promotes tissue remodeling while untreated tissue between the pins promotes faster healing of the overall tissue. The Morpheus8 is versatile fractional technology that can treat different body areas.
This treatment aims to revitalize the overall appearance while restoring support and volume to the face, neck, and/or body. Your personalized treatment plan is tailored to achieve a range of goals, including contouring, eliminating unwanted fat, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stimulating collagen production, reducing pores, skin tightening, and addressing laxity. The ultimate result is a refreshed, youthful appearance.
Morpheus8 treatments are typically performed in office in a 90-120-minute session. A topical numbing cream is applied for 30-45 minutes and zimmer cooling is used to aid with any discomfort. If the procedure is too uncomfortable then there is an option to use Pronox to help with pain management.
A consultation is offered for the initial appointment. While it's possible that you could receive treatment on the same day as your consultation, it's more probable that you will need to arrange a separate appointment for your treatment.
Anticipate bruising, redness, and swelling lasting days to weeks, especially near hairline and neck. Avoid touching scabs forming in 1-3 days to prevent pigmentation issues. Use SPF 30+ for a month post-treatment, keep area clean, and dodge heat exposure. Moisturize after 24-72 hours and steer clear of irritants for a week.
Bruising, redness, and swelling: These effects may occur and can last for several days to weeks. They could resemble a "patchy, 1950’s comic/pixelated appearance." Healing is usually slower around the hairline and neck.
Tiny scabs: Within 1-3 days, small scabs may form and remain for several days after the treatment. Avoid touching or scratching them, even if they itch. Exfoliating dry skin or scabs could potentially increase the risk of hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation.
Sun Protection: It is required to use a minimum of SPF 30 and avoid excessive sunlight exposure of the treatment area for at least a month starting 24-72 hours post-treatment. Refrain from any type of excessive tanning during the entire treatment period.
Hygiene and Protection: Keep the treated area clean during the first two days to prevent contamination or infection. Avoid activities that could damage the treated area, such as hot tubs, saunas, steam showers, and intense physical activities (HIIT, hot yoga, etc.).
Heat Exposure: Avoid activities that could damage the treated area, such as hot tubs, saunas, steam showers, and intense physical activities (HIIT, hot yoga, etc.). Be cautious when opening the oven or dishwasher. Allow heat to escape before reaching in to retrieve items.
Moisturizer: You can apply moisturizer (lotions and creams) 24-72 hours after each treatment and then applied regularly throughout the treatment course.
Make-Up: Make-up can be applied 24-72 hours after each treatment session.
Avoid Skin Irritants: For at least a week after treatment, avoid using products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, and exfoliants (anti-aging products).
Remember, each step is crucial to ensure proper healing and the best possible outcome from your treatment. Following these guidelines will help you minimize potential complications and achieve the desired results.
Skip makeup on treatment day and shave the night before. Guard against prolonged UV exposure and avoid fake tanning products for 1-2 weeks. Steer clear of skin irritants and postpone treatment if you have herpes or cold sores. Pause anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen.
Makeup and Shaving: If possible, refrain from wearing makeup on the treatment day. Shave excess hair the night before, and men should be cleanly shaven.
UV Exposure: Avoid extended exposure to UV rays from sunlight or tanning beds. Sunburned skin will void treatment. Also, please abstain from using fake tanning products (foam, spray, oil, etc.) for at least 1-2 weeks.
Skin Irritation: Avoid skin treatments that could irritate the skin for 1-2 weeks before the procedure (waxing, depilatories, etc.).
Herpes or Cold Sores: If you have a history of herpes or cold sores you may require an anti-viral prescription before treatment.
Anti-Inflammatory Drugs: Stop using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like ibuprofen (Advil), naproxen (Aleve), or aspirin. These medications can impact the normal blood clotting process.
