Rhinoplasty for Asian patients is often very different from the operation many people imagine.

Traditional Western rhinoplasty frequently focuses on reducing a dorsal hump or narrowing the bridge. For many Asian patients, the goals are often the opposite: increasing bridge definition, improving projection, or refining a wider nasal base.

Thicker nasal skin also behaves differently than thinner skin. It tends to hide smaller refinements and retains swelling longer, meaning final results require more patience.
